Rev. Bruce C. Taylor
The Rev. Bruce C. Taylor grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts and spent much of his adult life in southern New Hampshire working as a software developer. He discerned his call to ministry in 2004, and completed his Master of Divinity degree at Andover Newton Theological School in May, 2009. Before coming to First Parish, Billerica, Bruce served as a student minister at the Theodore Parker Church in West Roxbury, Massachusetts and the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleborough, Massachusetts. He also completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education at Fletcher Allen Health Care, the university medical center in Burlington, Vermont. Bruce's favorite pastime is hiking the woods and mountains of northern New England: he has completed the Appalachian Mountain Club's Four-Thousand Footer List, and he climbs Mt. Katahdin at least once a year. He often turns to photography as a spiritual practice (see www.ctenopoma.com/creationDialogue). He plays the flute, and has been a member of the Nashua Flute Choir for over twenty years (see www.nashuaflutechoir.com). He is also active in Toastmasters, the public speaking organization. Bruce serves as Vice President, Membership of the Merrimasters chapter (see merrimaster.freetoasthost.com). Rev. Taylor officiates at weddings, memorial services, and child dedications for both members and non-members of First Parish Church. |
